Binomial Delphinium tricorne

A showy spring ephemeral for open woodlands that attracts long-tongued bees, butterflies, and hummingbirds. The flowers are typically violet but may stray into paler shades of blue and, occasionally, white. Dwarf larkspur contains poisonous alkaloids, so deer and rabbits better leave it alone if they know what's good for them.
