If attracting bees and hordes of other pollinators is your main goal, then yellow giant hyssop is a must-have plant. Spikes of pale-yellow flowers can be found blooming July through September. When grown in rich, fertile soil with adequate shade, it can be a sizable plant at six feet tall. Hot afternoon sun and dry conditions will cause the plant to deteriorate. While it will spread and form colonies via rhizome, it spreads more rapidly from seed.
