Eastern bluestar is east to grow and has lovely blue flowers in spring and bright yellow foliage in fall. It has a dense, shrub-like form and can have a spread of about three feet. While very suitable for a rain garden, eastern bluestar does not require extra moisture and is fairly drought tolerant.
