Bush's poppy mallow is very similar to purple poppy mallow. The main difference between the two is that Bush's poppy mallow stands more upright while purple poppy mallow sprawls over the ground. Bush's poppy mallow can also tolerate more shade. The magenta flowers appear in June & July and compliment Missouri coneflower, pale purple coneflower, and thimbleweed; it also looks great on its own.
