When in bloom, swamp loosestrife can be a real eye-catcher with long, arching stems decorated with many pink/purple flowers that attract a number of bees and butterflies. This can be a large plant that will demand some room to move around. As the tips of the arching stems touch ground or water, they can develop roots and grow clones of themselves.
Swamp loostestrife is an aquatic plant and can grow in water about two feet deep. It will be happiest when growing around a pond but could be grown in a large, decorative container or an artificial pond.
