Butterflies and bees love the sweet-scented, globes of white flowers and will find abundant nectar when they visit. Plants thrive in wet soil and tolerate flooding, but can be grown with average moisture if supplemental water can be provided during drought periods.
Buttonbush can grow to 20 feet tall and 30 feet wide, but typically is smaller. If yours needs to be pruned, do so in early spring before there is new growth. Stunning plants can be formed when pruning is thoughtful and precise.
