A large plant that likes sunny areas with lots of moisture. The flowers are usually white with a scarlet center, though sometimes the flowers can be pink. Bumblebees are common visitors. Quite a few larvae of butterflies and moths feed on various parts of the plant. Halberdleaf rose mallow spreads by seed.
