Grayhead coneflower has long, yellow petals that droop and flow below a brown/gray cone. It is best planted in the middle or back of flowerbeds as it can get fairly tall. In rich soil, it will benefit from other tall companions to give it some support. Bees and small butterflies are common visitors. This is an easy-to-grow perennial with showy flowers that can bloom all summer.
