Sweet everlasting has many common names, such as "rabbit tobacco," and "fragrant cudweed." It has a long history of medicinal use for treating a wide variety of ailments. The plant itself has a wonderful fragrance that is enhanced once it is dried. The scent has been compared to caramel, maple syrup, and balsam. A number of interesting wasps and bees seek nectar from the cone-shaped, white flowers. As an annual, it will need to be re-seeded from time to time and grows best in disturbed dry areas.
