Narrowleaf vervain is an upright, compact plant with attractive flower spikes that range in color from white to light blue or lavender. Small bees and skipper butterflies are frequent visitors. You may find it blooming between May and September. This plant can be found in gravelly soils, disturbed areas, along roadsides, on glades, blufftops, and upland prairies. It likes sunny, dry conditions but also grows well in dappled shade.
