Big Bluestem is an iconic tallgrass prairie species that provides numerous benefits to wildlife. As a host plant for the caterpillars of several skipper butterfly species, it increases the number of pollinators and provides a food source for quail and other birds. It provides excellent nesting habitat & cover for birds and other small critters.

Seed: Sow outdoors between late January and May. Seed should germinate once soil temperature reaches and sustains 60 degrees Fahrenheit.
